My Favourite Face Mask!

I am not really big on skincare but just recently, well when I say recently I mean about 6-7 weeks ago I went into lush just randomly and was looking around. I seen a couple of products that I seen and also bought.

As I was looking at their face mask, I had one of the girl's come up and asking if I was looking for anything in particular. I wasn't actually because I have used a couple of masks and my skin reacted really bad towards it so I had stayed away from their masks after that.

But as I told her about how sensitive my skin is and stuff she told me about the Mask of Magnaminty (the self-preserved version) as the normal one was too harsh on the sensitive skin.

It's a face and back pack. So along with using that on your face you can also use it on your back aswell.

It's such an amazing skincare product. Ever since I have started using this product I have not had a bad skin day. You can purchase this here

Mask of Magnaminty.. There's something in the name that make you want to try it, and the smell is like something else. It's so minty, but it's not over the top minty. Just the right amount. So refreshing once you put it on you don't feel like taking it off.

This product as 13 different ingredients in total. So many right? But they are all good for our skin.

There are 5 main ingredients in this product. All amazing for the skin. They all have their own benefits:

1. Honey - anti-bacterial, great for acne treatment & prevention, great for slowing down ageing, it's moisturising, soothing and also opens up the pores.
2. Peppermint Oil - it's cooling and invigorating, amazing if the skin feels irritated.
3. African Marigold Oil - protects and calms the skin. It is antibacterial, reduces blemishes, and inflammation.
4. Evening Primrose Seeds - natural Exfoliator and it's anti-inflammatory and also has skin soothing properties.
5. Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute - to add a sweet & comforting scent.

Guys this is like a must have in your skin care routine. You only use it twice a week. Smoothe a layer of this product on the face, leave it on for 5 - 10 minutes, then wash it off with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

After using this mask your skin feels really refresh and smoothe. I love it.
You should all give it a try too.. Especially if you have sensitive, dry skin. Absolutely great but remember to get the self preserved one. :-)

Enjoy. More post coming your way. Stay tuned :-)

A bit about everything..!

So I decided to do another post on some of the products I have been loving and using..

Here I go again.. In I this I will be talking about my favourite eyeshadow palette, blushers, bronzer & mascara.

Hmm I don't what to talk about first.. Decisions, Decisions.. Oh and most of the products I will be talking about are from Boots (Drugstore).

Ok we'll start with the eyeshadow palette, so this is from the brand MUA. What can I say about this brand. Well their eyeshadow palette are like amazing. The colour are absolutely gorgeous too, and they are also very affordable at £4. They also have other products too but we won't get into them just yet. Oh but their lipstick are amazing at just £1. But anyway, I have a few eyeshadow palettes from this brand, the one I am loving at the moment is the Matte palette. It has amazing Matte shadows, it consists of neutral browns, black, pink, yellow and a highlight shade too. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and can't get enough of it. My favourite colour from this palette are Unwrap, Fade, Chino, Truffle and Smoke. There are so many different looks you can use these shades for. But my favourite has to be a more natural daytime look and the night time smokey.

To get these looks I use the following shades:

Unwrap : as a highlight under the brow and inner tear duct area.
Fade : as my transition colour.
Chino : this one goes all over the lid.
Truffle : to give the lid some depth, just in the crease. (This can be optional).

And for a night time smokey look, I just like to add a bit of Smoke at the outer V. It's as simple as that.

So the Bronzer I have recently been loving is again from a drugstore brand called L'oreal. I have it in the shade 06 Golden Bronze. They also have this in a another shade 00 Blonde Sun. This is light than the one I am currently using. I chose to buy the darker shade because since this is a Matte Bronzer and great for contouring. I have been in love with contouring for the past couple of months as it really defines the face. I could have got away with using the lighter shade but I do love a nice dark contour so I decided to get this one. I feel that this product really stays on the face and does not fade away, hasn't on me anyway. and it smells great. I love products that smell great :D.

So onto the next product now.. Which are the blushers.

The first one I would like to talk about is from the Natural Collection which you can also buy from the drugstore. I think I have been using this blusher for a long time now, and reach for this blusher on a daily basis. It's like my Holy Grail product. It's called Peach Melba. It's an amazing Dupe for the Mac blusher Melba. For only like £2. Yes exactly, you all need this in your life. It complements every makeup look. As the name suggests it is a really nice pink/peach colour. It goes on really light too but you can build it up if you like.

Since it is in the picture I will just give this little guy a shout out. It is the L'oreal False Lash Telescopic Infinite Length Effect Fibres. Pheww that was a mouthful. So as you an see this is also from the drugstore Brand L'oreal. Amazing Amazing Mascara, ever since I have started using this mascara I have not used any other mascara. This is like one of those Fibre lash mascara, gives the same kind of effect and make the lashes really long. This stuff is out of this world and at a really reasonable price too. I think its about £11 or £12 from Boots. Really need to try this mascara if like me you have invisible eyelashes :(.

Since we are talking about blushers I would like mention 2 more blushers. These are also from the drugstore from the brand Makeup Revolution. I don't think Superdrug have this brand in store just yet but they do have it online, that's where I got mines from. They were both £1 each. So cheap right? These are very similar to the Natural Collection blushers. I have two of these blushers in the colour Love and Wow. Love is similar to the Peach Melba but had more of a brown undertone. Where as Wow is completely different it is like a pink/lilac blusher. Nothing that I would ever buy, i have only ever bought pink blushers. But this blusher isn't so bad. Has pink undertones with a hint of lilac. Just beautiful.

That is all for now, I was going to talk about my Favourite Face mask but thought I will save that for another post.

Lip Products

All about lipsticks & Lip Stains..

So, let's start with lipsticks, I had been dying to buy a nice Nude lippy for myself. I had tried the drugstore to find that perfect nude shade but after trying and also buying a couple of nude shade lipsticks, I still wasn't satisfied with the shades I had. Girl problems right? Yup. And to be honest I wasnt looking to go and buy an expensive Nude lipstick. But thanks to my sister who was in Germany and was very kind enough to buy me the Mac Viva Glam II. Omg you guys it's like the best Nude lipstick I own. I absolutely love it. It is really creamy and pigmented. And the colour just looks amazing on the lips. It goes with any look, whether it be a smokey look or a natural daytime look.

There are more lipsticks I want to talk about so I will keep the descriptions short & sweet :D.

The other lipsticks I want to talk about are from a drugstore brand, Max Factor. Right, this is one brand that I just haven't bought much make-up from. I don't know why that is. Maybe it's a good thing. Mmm I don't know. But I was in the Boots the other week and was just looking through their lipsticks. And decided to buy only 2 colour. Like can you believe it? Only 2? Yes I know.. But I just had to pick the 2 I really wanted to buy. So the colours I bought are Bewitching Coral and the other one is Dusky rose.

The Bewitching Coral.. Well as the name suggests, yes it is a coral colour. It's a beautiful pink with a tiny hint of red. Absolutely gorgeous colour that is. I have swatches of the colour, so don't think I have forgot.  As this colour is a bit on the bright side i wore it with a neutral eye, as I didn't want to look like I had a lot going on, on my face, and also I don't like putting on too many colours. Don't want to look like a clown :P no offence to anyone who loves wearing a lot of colour. This is just my opinion :). This one is a kind of a matte finish.

These are the swatches of the three lippies.
The other colour the Dusky Rose is a bit hard to explain. But I will try, so here goes. This is a really nice satin dull pink, but with a satin finish. The colour to me honestly looks like a mixture of pink and plum but more on the pink side with a hint of plum and purple, the only reason I am saying that because I couldn't decide on one colour. But this is a really nice colour if like me you love pink lips. I absolutely love pink lips as I think they go with any kind of look just like a nude lipstick. And I think I have more pink lipsticks than any other colour. So weird. But I am swear they are all different kind of pinks ;-).

So another 2 lip products and that will be it :D hopefully this isn't too long. It's just when I start writing I just keep going on and on.

So this other lip product is also from the drugstore. Yes I love the drugstore product, especially the lip products.

This one is not a lipstick but a lip stain, and it's from the brand Revlon. It's the ColourBlast lip crayon in the colour 001 Honey Douce. Yes another pink, am sorry I couldn't help myself. This I would again say it is a mauve pink/purple. But when you put it on your lips, well when I put it on my lips it slightly darker than my actual lip colour. Funny?? Yes I know but you can still tell I have some kind of lip product on. This is really hydrating when you put it on. As you can tell this is a stain but I don't feel it stays on for long enough, maybe even less than an hour on my lips. But it still a good product, if you are some one who like lip balms and want something that has a hint of colour in it, then this particular colour is for you. Just something you can throw in the handbag and apply it when needed :). Really handy and compact that way.

And the last product I would like to talk about is also from the drugstore brand called Bourjois. And it is also a lip product. And this is also a Stain. This one is from the Rouge Edition Velvet Matte Finish in the colour 07 Nude-ist. This is also a beautiful Mauve colour. Omg you guys as it suggests it is a lip stain and a very good one. I am absolutely in love with this lip product. I had this on today and this colour stayed on the whole day. I am not even joking. The pigmentation of this product is amazing. It did not budge of my lips, even after drinking water from a bottle the whole day. And I did not have to touch up or anything. And this is the colour Kylie Jenner has on her lips at the moment. I think i need to try the other colours too now :P but not just now I think.

Right guys that is it for now. I shall be back with another post.
Hope you enjoy.

First Impression - Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

So, as the title states, it is a first impression on the drugstore foundation. Which is the Maybelline Fit Me. My shade is 220, Natural Beige. (Hope I spelt that correctly).

Any how I was looking for a good drugstore foundation, tried a couple of them but I don't know I seem to be very picky when it actually come to buying or choosing a good but reasonable priced foundation.

I have tried No7, L'oreal, Max factor and Rimmel's BB cream.

I have different opinions about all of the foundation. But we won't get into all that detail otherwise I'll be up all night :). They are all great foundations for the price. And they are just under £10 am sure but I think No7 is about £12 and up for their foundations. They all have nice coverage but for someone like me who has really dry skin and a lot of blemishes I do not get the coverage I prefer. I mean L'oreal gives me like medium coverage but I don't like the way it sits on my skin. It's not a matte finish which I really don't like because like I said I have dry skin so it Looks horrible. I tried Max Factor's foundation, I can remember the name of the top of my head but I didn't know it was a matte finish before I bought it. So when I tried it on it looked horrible probably because my skin was going through a lot. But after that I haven't tried it to see whether I would like it or not.

Any how, at work one day me and my friend were just talking about makeup, like all girls do. So just as we were talking, I happened to mention something about foundation and was telling her how my skin is so dry and I've tried using different foundation I don't seem to like them. Or I feel as if I don't like them. Mm don't know guess I'm just weird that way.

So, yeh back to what I was saying. My friend who also loves makeup recommended that I try The Maybelline Fit Me. This was a while ago and I had been meaning to get it but didn't want to just in case I didn't like it.

But I decide to get it just last week I think. I got mines at Boots and it was £8.99. So I tried this foundation on today. And I would honestly like to say I loved this foundation.

I have been using my Ysl Le Teint Touché Éclat. And I am also loving that foundation, it goes on really smooth, great coverage and smells lovely too. What more could you ask for. It gives me a dewy finish which I like and my skin is not oily so I don't even need to blot during the day/night. I just love the Ysl foundation. But it is a bit pricey. Think I bought mines for £30.50 from Frasers.

But the Maybelline foundation is just as good but for like really cheap. It gives me coverage but not as good as the Ysl obviously. But I think it's great for like everyday wear. I would definitely compare it with the Ysl foundation. It gives me that same dewy finish but I would say this is like a mix as it's dewy and matte at the same time. Is that even possible, or is it just me? Hmmm.

All I would say it is. Give it a try girls. And let me know if you think the same. :)

This is a collage of me with both of the foundations on. ;).

I have taken these pictures with my phone.

Oh and the lip balms you see in the picture are like amazing. I love Balmi, mines is in the coconut flavour. This lip balm is great as I have very dry chapped lips. I liked my carmex lip balm as I loved the tingly feeling, my lips felt instantly hydrated. But it was time to change it because I was getting too used to it and did not like any other lip balm. Yes I am weird in so many ways. And the other one is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink punch. This one you guys is amazing, I mean that is the only one I have but I am in love with it. This one is hydrayting too and it's tinted Pink aswell. Looks great on the lips, if you do not want to wear lipstick this is a great alternative.

Ysl Foundation review

Ysl Le Teint Touche Éclat

So I had been hunting for a good but not too pricey foundation for a very long time. I have tried a couple of foundation before and I think so far they all have been good for me.

I have very sensitive skin and because of that my skin can not deal with all these different foundations and what not. So far I have tried No7 foundation, this was actually my first foundation and let me tell you it was a good one and my skin didn't breakout from wearing this everyday, but it didn't give me enough coverage.

My skin started to break out therefore I didn't get a chance a to use new products, foundations in particular. But for the past couple of months my skin has got better and thank god for that because I was getting really stressed out about it. But I will save that for another post. ;-).

Anyway, so I had went and bought a new foundation as I heard good reviews about the foundation and that 1 was the L'oreal True Match. I went and got mines from superdrug at that time. I didn't really know how to colour match myself so I ask the "beauty consultant" but the colour she thought I was was way too light for my skin. I mean I know am I really very pale but I don't know what she was thinking when she said this colour matches your skin.

So that was a waste of time and money. I know it isn't expensive but still. Anyhow and I went into boots this time and got a different foundation but from the same brand and this time it was the perfect match to my skin, a tiny bit dark but hey it's better than getting 1 which does not match at all :).

But I decided to invest in a new, good foundation. And I discovered the Ysl foundation. I actually didn't go in and buy it straight away. I went in to Fraser's one day to get samples for that foundation as I heard so many good thing about it. I think if anyone is looking for a good foundation but are not sure about it, do go in and get a sample first, as you don't know which foundation is best for your skin.

So when I tried it on and done a full face makeup, it was like amazing. I love the smell of this foundation. I know some people do not like the foundations to be fragranced but I absolutely love it. It feels amazing on the skin. It gives me great coverage. I think this is a really good foundation there is if you are looking to invest in a good foundation for yourself. It was about £30 for this particular one but I think they all vary in prices.

This foundation gives you a very dewy finish, so anyone with oily skin, don't try it because it will not look nice. But if you would like to try it then make sure you set the foundation with a setting powder and blot it every so often :). Just a friendly tip!

About me

Hello,

Emm well what do I say..

Let's give it a try.. Here goes..

My name is Arooj Asad. I am 22 years of age. I am currently living in Scotland but will soon be moving down to England as I will be getting married soon :). So, yes that means I am Engaged.

I work as a Food & Beverage Assistant and I am not studying just yet. I dropped out of college couple of years back for god knows what reason but I am looking to go back to studies soon and hopefully get a degree :).

As this is a beauty blog let's talk about how I fell in love with makeup and the rest..

Well I remember putting eyeshadow on for the first time when I was in high school. It was actually my friend who put it on. I never wore makeup then maybe because I wasn't into all of that at the time or just that my mum didn't let me. :/ yes I actually listened to her at that time and still do :). But anyway that was my first time trying a makeup product and from then on I fell in love with makeup. I didn't like foundations of powders or anything, for me it was more about eyeshadows and eyeliners.

I remember I bought my first eyeliner at the age of 15/16. Amazing right? Yes it was at that time. And it was from Collection 2000, and honestly I have loved that eyeliner ever since. And I still do only use that eyeliner. So I started wearing eyeliner with some mascara, blusher and lipgloss.

I have only started using foundations recently, hmm I didn't know how I felt about foundation on as I had never wore it before because my skin was great. But now that we have grown up and started using all the different products on our skin, we have discovered spots. Absolutely hate them. I mean we all do. Anything to get rid of them. Right?

So from then on my love for makeup has grown and I have a lot of it for a normal person anyway. I am not so much into like skin are products or anything but there are a few thing I have tried and loved. As I have sensitive skin I don't buy and try different skin care products. So for now we will stick to makeup :).

That's all for now.. Stay tuned for more posts :)
